Jesus in the Boat

A heavy rain is falling all around me
Sometimes I think my little ship
Has seen it's final shore
But then I feel a wounded hand fall gently on my shoulder
And I can't be afraid anymore

With Jesus in the boat, we can smile at the storm
And even in the coldest wind
My heart is safe and warm
I can feel Him right beside me
Drying every tear I cry
Oh, Jesus keep my weary soul
'Till the storm passes by

I tried to fight the current with my own strength
But the waves were hard against me
And the wind was blowing strong
But when it seemed all hope was lost, I made this glad discovery
Jesus had been with me all along
